How to Analyze Short Story

Short Story
      According to encyclopedia, a short story is a work of fiction that is usually written in prose, usually in narrative format. This format tends to be more pointed than longer works of fiction, such as novellas and novels or books. 
      Many short story writers define their work through a combination of creative personal expression and artist ic integrity. Short story evolved as a miniature version, with some of its first perfectly independent examples in the tales of E.T.A Hoftman. The following are some nineteenth-century writes of short story.

1. Nathaniel Hawthorne.
2. Edgar Allan Poe.
3. Herman Melville.
4. Guy de Maupassant.

       Some authors are famous for their short stories, either by choice or by critical regard. By choice means that they wrote nothing else, while by critical regard means short story writing is though of as a challenging art. An example of famous short story writer is Jorge Luise Borges who won American, fame with "The Garden of Forking Paths", published in the August 1948 Ellery Queen's Magazine.
        A short story belongs to narratives. Therefore the structures are Orientation, Complication (rising, action,crisis,climax) and resolution. Usually a short story focuses on only one insident, as has a single ussage, a short story has no longer than 20.000 words and no shorter than 1.000

Hot Snake

         At last fireman have put out a big forest fire in California. Since then, have been trying to find out how the fire began. Forest fires are often caused by broken glass or by cigarette ends which people carelessly throw away. Yesterday the fireman examined the ground carefully, but were not able to find any broken glass. They were also quite sure that a cigarette end did not start the fire. This morning, however, a fireman  accidentally discovered the cause. He noticed the remains of a snake which was would round the electric wires of a 16,000 volt power line. In this way, he was able to solve the mystery. The explanation was simple but very unusual. A bird had snatched up the snake from the ground and then dropped it on to the wires. When, it did so, it sent sparks down to the ground and these immediately started a fire.
